Da memória, o esquecimento, o apagamento, a seleção do que deve ou não ser lembrado; dos arquivos, os restos, os rastros, os indícios, os documentos, ponta do iceberg que nunca chegaremos a vislumbrar em sua totalidade. Arquivos podem ser uma mina de onde artistas extrairão importantes elementos que embasem sua história, como podem ser regiões cinzentas, onde mesmo que inventariados, nomes e informações estejam ocultas, seja por desconhecimento de causa ou diferentes perspectivas de leitura.
Relatório Figueiredo foi o nome como ficou conhecido o relatório conclusivo das investigações da Comissão de Inquérito instaurada no Brasil em julho de 1967, para apurar as irregularidades no Serviço de Proteção aos Índios - órgão estatal responsável pela execução da política indigenista brasileira entre 1910 e 1967. Um documento oculto por mais de 40 anos serve como ponto de partida para esta palestra-performativa que procura transitar entre história e memória, tecendo elos em torno de uma política de destruição que se alastra desde 1500: o genocídio indígena no Brasil.

From memory, forgetfulness, erasure, the selection of what should or should not be remembered; of the archives, the remains, the traces, signs, documents, the tip of the iceberg that we will never get to see in its entirety. Archives can be a mine from which artists will extract important elements that base their history, as they can be gray regions, where even if inventoried, names and information are hidden, either due to lack of knowledge of the cause or different reading perspectives.
Figueiredo Report was the name given to the conclusive report of the investigations by the Inquiry launched in Brazil in July 1967 to investigate irregularities in the Indian Protection Service - State body responsible for implementing the Brazilian indigenist policy between 1910 and 1967. A document hidden for more than 40 years serves as the starting point for this performative lecture that seeks to move between history and memory, weaving links around a policy of destruction that has spread since 1500: the indigenous genocide in Brazil.
