Com tons de absurdo, o espetáculo imagina uma ucronia, uma história hipotética que retrata um Portugal comunista supostamente perfeito e um Chile democrático em crise. Nesse cenário cômico e sarcástico, uma comissão chilena vai ao país europeu pedir ajuda para implementar o modelo lusitano na América do Sul. Mas, sem saber como proceder, sugere a guerra como solução para seus problemas. Traçando paralelos com os cinquentenários da Revolução dos Cravos e do golpe de Estado no Chile, a peça reflete sobre regimes sociais em um tempo de descontentamentos, sobre criar futuros sem se atentar ao passado. Com este trabalho, o português Teatro Experimental do Porto e o chileno Teatro La María repetem a parceria, que antes deu origem a Estreito/Estrecho.

With absurd overtones, the show imagines a uchronia, a hypothetical story that portrays a supposedly perfect communist Portugal and a democratic Chile in crisis. In this comic and sarcastic scenario, a Chilean commission goes to the European country to ask for help in implementing the Lusitanian model in South America. But, not knowing how to proceed, they suggest war as a solution to their problems. Drawing parallels with the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution and the coup d'état in Chile, the play reflects on social regimes in a time of discontent, on creating futures without paying attention to the past. With this work, the Portuguese Teatro Experimental do Porto and the Chilean Teatro La María are repeating the partnership that previously gave rise to Estreito/Estrecho.
