Pedro conta a história de Nelson, seu pai, homem que viveu de forma itinerante, às vezes visitando-os, às vezes respondendo às obrigações da paternidade, às vezes não. Seguindo seu rastro, encontramos um tríptico: uma criação tradicional ainda emoldurada por uma cultura republicana muito colonizada, que acaba levando-o a tentar viver “o sonho americano”, ao mesmo tempo, encontramos um Nelson que, depois de perder a cabeça, vem ao encontro de alguém que parece retribuir e, finalmente, um Nelson Sr., que se tornou presidente de seu estado e tentou recuperá-lo através de truques e negociações comerciais – sempre sem sucesso. As vidas de Nelson, mesmo sem saber qual é a que o homem realmente viveu, acabam ressoando como um espelho das experiências que todos nós na América Latina passamos, pessoal e socialmente.

Pedro tells the story of Nelson, his father, a man who lived itinerantly, sometimes visiting them, sometimes responding to the obligations of fatherhood, sometimes not. Following his trail, we find a triptych: a traditional upbringing still framed by a very colonized Republican culture, which ends up leading him to try to live “the American dream”, at the same time, we find a Nelson who, after losing his mind, comes to meet someone who seems to reciprocate and, finally, a Nelson Sr., who became president of his state and tried to get it back through tricks and business negotiations - always without success. Nelson's lives, even without knowing which one the man actually lived, end up resonating like a mirror of the experiences that all of us in Latin America go through, personally and socially.
